“Northland Magazine” made its premiere on December 1st of 2006. Each Saturday, the show airs from 7-9 am on WKLK-AM 1230, WKLK-FM 96.5 and WMOZ-FM 106.9. The “Northland Magazine” Radio Network is heard from Hinckley to the Iron Range and points well to the east and west of Carlton County.
The show has had numerous guest hosts through the last eight years, but the one constant has been Kerry Rodd as the main host of the show. After working 22 years in Duluth, Minnesota as host of the top rated “Daily Express” Radio Show, Kerry made the move back to his hometown and the radio station where he got his start back in 1976.
“Northland Magazine” is a mixture of humor, serious news, weather, sports and is equated to a bunch of people sitting around having a cup of coffee and just chatting about things in the news. Don’t expect this show to be like anything you’ve ever heard before. With a total of nine different co-hosts making their way in and out of the studios downtown on Saturday mornings the show has a definite feel of being hometown radio in Carlton and St. Louis Counties. Don’t miss another Saturday of “Northland Magazine.”
